We want you to come to the lake and rest. So that you can do so with a clear heart, please take a moment to read how we see our role, and where it ends.
i.What this retreat is
A Wildflowers of Grace retreat is an experience of rest, reflection, faith, connection, and encouragement. It is offered in the spirit of friendship and spiritual care, sister to sister, around a table.
ii.We are not licensed professionals
Our hosts and facilitators are not licensed therapists, counselors, psychologists, physicians, dietitians, or medical professionals. Nothing shared at the retreat, in conversation, teaching, written materials, or prayer, is intended as medical, psychological, mental-health, nutritional, or professional advice.
The retreat is not a substitute for professional care or treatment. If you are facing a medical, psychological, or emotional concern, please continue working with your own qualified provider.
iii.Your health is your own
You are responsible for your own health and wellbeing throughout the retreat. By attending, you confirm that you are physically and emotionally well enough to take part, and that you'll bring and manage any medications, treatments, or supplies you need. Please tell us in advance of any dietary needs or allergies so we can care for you well.
iv.Activities & the outdoors
Our gatherings include time in nature and on the water, walking, a boat cruise, a hot tub, and quiet time outdoors. These activities carry ordinary risks. We encourage you to check with your doctor before participating if you have any condition that might be affected, and to take part only in what feels right and safe for your body.
v.In an emergency
If a medical or mental-health emergency arises during the retreat, we will seek appropriate emergency help. Outside the retreat, if you are ever in crisis, please contact your local emergency services or a licensed professional right away. In the U.S., you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, any time, day or night.
vi.A note on faith
This is a faith-rooted experience, and prayer and Scripture are woven gently throughout. They are offered as encouragement, never as a replacement for the medical or professional care you may need. You're always free to take part in as much or as little as feels right to you.
vii.Assumption of risk
By attending, you accept the ordinary risks of travel and participation, and you agree that Wildflowers of Grace and Esaltare LLC are not liable for any harm arising from your own health decisions or participation, to the fullest extent permitted by law. This disclaimer is part of our Terms & Conditions.
viii.How to reach us
If you have any concern or question before you come, please don't hold it alone, write to journey@wildflowersofgrace.com and we'll talk it through together.
